The Feeding and Activity Analyser has been conceived for studying the feeding behaviour and the motor activity (horizontal and rearing, optional) of rats. Especially useful for metabolism studies and feeding habits and their modification (quantity & frequency of food/drink uptake).
Up to 8 cages route their digitized signals through a USB-electronic unit to a PC for acquisition and analysis via the provided Software.
Model organism are closely monitored, revealing differences, which can be correlated with those of the human disorders in fundamental parameters, as feeding/drinking (quantity & frequency of food/drink uptake), activity (with optional I.R. Motion detectors) and excretion (the latter assessed by volume or weight).
